Part 3 will explain how to purchase tickets via unofficial channel ie resale market. Read through the following for;

1) Purchasing via secondary ticketing sites (ie ticket.co.jp)
Similar to international ticket resale websites like stubhub or viagogo, Japan has it’s own version that is Ticket.co.jp. Ticket seen on this website can be purchased via proxy service as explained in Part 2 in this link.
Update 19 Mar 2019: Website added paypal payment option for paper ticket purchase (non-electronic ticket). Means now you don’t need a phone number, just a Japanese address. Find a hostel that can receive package on your behalf and you can save on proxy fee. Credit card still locked to Japan issued card.

As shown above, the price of each ticket and how much each seller are selling it for are stated. It is possible to buy Fan Club ticket through this method.
Tips/Terms commonly used:
- FC Precedence, FC 1st leading etc : These tickets are won through lottery and the seller are just explaining at which lottery opening/slot did they win. Anyhow actual seats won’t be announced til 1-2 weeks before so even the seller would not know what seats they are giving up
- Selling of roses not accepted : When seller have more than 1 ticket, this will be included when they do not want to sell the ticket separately. Buy all the tickets they’re selling or none at all
- Shipped 1 week before: Applicable to FC tickets, since they won’t be able to get their tickets til 1-2 weeks before, they won’t be able to ship ticket out the moment you’ve entered the transaction. 1 week is a very short time for international shipment. It is recommended to ship it straight to your accomodation in Japan in these cases. Even in this case, it is still risky for 1 week when you use big service like FromJapan who handles loads of packages each day (2 weeks should be fine for FJ Domestic shipping). It is recommended to take a more less known specialised proxy service for this to ensure it reaches you on time.

- During trading : Sold-out
- To order : Available for purchase
p/s: This method was how I’ve purchased my Arena seats for Elyxion Saitama Day 1
Update: 16 Mar 2019 – Another popular site for ticket purchase is Ticket Street which allows for overseas credit card payment. However, ticket listed here is almost always more expensive than ticket.co.jp and not as many tickets are sold here.
2) Purchasing via Yahoo! Japan Auction
The auction website by Yahoo! is as commonly used in Japan as eBay is being used internationally.
Tickets are not always available in this channel with most seller preferring ticket.co.jp for sales. But it did popped up a few times during Elyxion in Japan.
Easiest way to view the auction page and make searches is via FromJapan website in the search box just search for terms such as
- EXO ticket
- EXOチケット(ticket in japanese)
- concertnameチケット
I have performed a search on “Red Velvet” ticket via search “チケットredvelvet” and clicked the first listing.
If you’ve found a listing you are satisfied with, using FromJapan you will be able to make a bid or buy it now on the website itself.
Tips:
- You are required to put a deposit into FJ at least equivalent to the amount of your maximum bid
- Scammers exist so beware, read reviews of the seller and the description carefully
- Japanese blanks out seat number because there have been cases where organizers block resale seats when picture of the ticket was circulated. So be careful of ticket with the seat number in plain
3) Purchasing via Twitter via #hashtag
This is by far probably the hardest method to obtain ticket because it requires a basic Japanese language knowledge and a whole load of googletranslate.
Via the ever so popular hashtags, many many Japanese will be selling their tickets be it FC, general sales etc.
Hashtag predominantly used will be around similar to search term used in Method 2 above.

The above shows that there is
- a ticket for sale (concession/I will transfer) – (譲)
- 1 ticket for sale (1 sheet / 1 枚)
- Lower alphabet row on the 3rd base side – ticket seating location in Kyocera Dome
- Hand in at venue – Meet up at venue and pay by Cash
After finding a listing that you are interested in, you can start contacting the seller via DM or reply.
Tips:
- Can’t speak a word or even understand anything in Japanese? Try contacting the seller in English. I did deal with a Japanese via twitter fully in English because googletranslate works both ways. You might get ignored but it’s worth a try
- More tickets are being sold during 1-2 weeks before the concert since that is the time when FC Ticket details get released
- Most listing does not state price or even seat location, so DM is the best way to get more info
- Seller may cancel last minute due to unforeseen circumstances since these are promise made via Twitter. So keep constant contact with the seller.
p/s: this was how I’ve obtained my Elyxion Saitama Day 2/ Elyxion Osaka Day1-2 tickets.

you wrote this blog yrs ago and i’m not sure if you will even receive this message but im trying to get some reassurance. this is my 2nd round on going to an overseas concert in JP and I purchased my ticket via fromjapan this time around, and you had mentioned that FC tickets wont get their tickets till 1-2 wks before the show. im going to have my ticket mailed out directly to grandmas house in JP i hope that there will be enough time for FJ to receive and ship my tickets domestically within that time frame *A*lll
Hi, I did successfully get my ticket even when there was that snowstorm in Tokyo Jan 2018 causing post service to be closed for few days.
I called their customer service and send them repetitive emails though. They tag my ticket under priority packing (500¥) to get it out faster from the warehouse.
Hello, thank you for this post! I’m planning to attend at Japan’s stop for EXO Planet 5 and encountered this.
However, would you be able to advise on what is the best way for me to purchase the concert tickets if I have relatives living there? 🙂
I would say that you can try all the options in the order of this;
1) Join EXO-L Japan Fanclub using relative’s name and enter lottery: You get first hand lottery entry and most probably higher chances of getting tickets. Yes, it’ll be a fee of ¥5,200 to get in but you’ll get
– fanclub merch for free upon entry and concert merch preorder
– EXO does fanclub only fanmeetings and events yearly that you can buy tickets to as well
– If you buy albums via fanclub you’ll get FC only free gifts and photocards (I’m not a member so this I assume because I see it being resold by fans)
However, if you do win, you won’t know your seats until two weeks before the event. So if you are somehow not satisfied with your seats, you can’t search til 2 weeks before. Though by experience, if there are 5floors in the venue, I have not seen FC tickets above Level 3.

2) Join Public Lottery: With your relative being there you can join all public lottery as stated here. No name checks by the way so even if they buy tickets for you there is no problem.
Similar to FC lottery, they will announce you’ve won but you will only know your seats 2 weeks before the concert. You’ve chances of getting I would say Arena to Level 4 tickets.
3) Join General Sale if all tickets are not sold out: I would assume your relative would not want to try to fight for tickets the moment it opens. So, in the event it is not sold out they can buy easily for u via the website or convenience store. Using the machine at 7eleven will let you know exactly which seats you are getting. In which very high chances you’ll get Level 5 tickets at this point.
4) Ticket portal resale: If you care about seats and don’t mind paying extra. I would recommend going on resale portal 2 weeks before the event.
Like ticket.co.jp you can sign up for it under your name and search for tickets. If you are fast you’d be able to get quite good deals there. You can commit to buy and payment have to be done within few hours. In which your relative can probably come in log in to your account and pay for you. International credit card not accepted by the way, I’ve tried.

They have changed ticketing to mostly e-ticket via QR so proxy such as fromJapan cannot be used. If you don’t have friends that can help pay for you in Japan, I recommend going through twitter and contacting the people selling them if they’re willing to hold it for you til concert day. The secondary sale website now have a lot of FC tickets listed for Fukuoka and Miyagi dates.
