I’ve done a quick guide to SMTOWN COEX Artium in Gangnam previously. This is a lesser known SUM Store located in Dongdaemun area in a building called Dongdaemun Design Plaza “DDP”. If you don’t have time to head to Gangnam area which is quite far from the usual tourist favourite, Myeongdong this is your go-to spot. It is located only 2 stops away from Myeongdong Station on the Line 4.

How to get there

Nearest station: Dongdaemun History & Culture Park (Subway Line 2, 4, 5) Exit 1

After you exit from the Exit 1, head straight to the elevator and go up to Level 1. The official instagram of SMTOWN DDP shows a very detailed photo/video of how to find the store from the Subway Station and outside of DDP, just view their pinned story.

What can you find in this store?

This SUM Store sadly does not have a SUM Cafe attached to it so if you’re interested in that you’ll have to head over to either one of the two Gangnam SUM Store.

However, over here they stock some goods that are not available at any of the other stores, and that is DIY items.

Some of the available DIY items available are deco stickers, tote bags, DIY pouch, artist name rubber straps and a random assortment of pin badges.

If you have time, I would recommend stopping by here. Each SM Store stocks different items especially for older merchandises. This is a lesser known SUM Store so it wouldn’t have long lines like COEX.
